For me, painting is a journey through dreams. As I hammer iron, different worlds unfold, allowing me to explore spaces beyond conscious reality. Drawn to the strength and unpredictability of iron, I experiment with various techniques, immersing myself in the energy of creation. Through repetitive acts of hammering and refining, my expression becomes freer, revealing new depths of light and texture. My work is like assembling a puzzle, where each piece forms a map guiding me on an endless artistic journey. In this process, my senses expand, and another dreamlike world takes shape—defining my artistic universe.

When we travel, we capture moments in photographs, sharing or keeping them as memories. For me, however, it’s the curiosity that arises from multiple perspectives that holds true value. We experience the world as if it were real, yet it is through these varied viewpoints that the essence of our journey is revealed. I aim to depict this process of exploration, embedding it into every component of my work.

As time passes, the original form may wear and age,yet it grows deeper and more profound in the mind.The same holds true for the legends of Jeju Island that we preserve - they too are revived, reimagined, and transformed a new. The artist seeks to be a part of this continuous cycle of renewal, contributing even in the smallest way to the enduring legacy.

I had such a strong sense of iron that it nearly seemed unreal. I as struck by how vivid the flames from the grinding process were.
The theme and object of my work in this project provide variation.
